Back in the1950’s, when my mother bought me a purple denim cowboy suit, she could not have foreseen the influence of this decision on her young son. Fast forward to 2004. Inspired by memories of those romantic days of TV Westerns, I became an avid collector of Western clothing. To share my passion for Western design, in December of 2005 I opened Yee Haw! My clients include cowboys and cowgirls, collectors, couples planning Western weddings, and musicians looking for that perfect stage outfit.
Walk into the tastefully decorated store and you’ll see new and vintage embroidered shirts, hand tooled belts, buckles, boots, hats, and other treasures to tingle your prairie heart. Come in and sit a spell, strum the guitar, or peruse magazines and books about the history of Western design. Take a break from the daily grind and experience a bit of the old West in Southeast Portland.
My philosophy; everyone needs a little Yee Haw! Translate that into the values of the old West; hard work, respect for the customer, individualized personal service, and a good dose of fun!
